Privacy notice for website users
This notice is provided under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) to anyone who visits https://fidemcybersecurity.com or uses its contact forms. It covers only this website and not third-party sites reachable through links. Last updated: 14 October 2026.
1. Data controller
FIDEM S.r.l., registered office at Via Don G.B. Tessari 14/a, 37030 Lavagno (VR), Italy, tax code and VAT number 04438280234. Privacy contacts: email giovanni.finetto@fidemsrl.it, certified email (PEC) fidemsrl@pecitaly.eu.
2. Browsing data
Like every web server, the servers hosting the site record some technical data about requests: IP address, date and time, requested page, response code, browser and operating system. This data is needed to run the site, to protect it from abuse and attacks and to fix faults.
Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest in the security and operation of the site (Art. 6(1)(f)). Retention: for the time strictly necessary for these purposes, according to the hosting provider’s periodic log rotation, unless needed to investigate crimes.
3. Visit statistics on our server
The site counts visits with a tool that runs on our own server, without sending data to third parties. IP addresses are anonymized before being recorded, and the raw data is deleted automatically after the retention period set in the tool. Legal basis: legitimate interest in knowing, in aggregate form, how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. Contact forms and reseller price list requests
If you fill in a form on the site, we process the data you enter: first name and surname, company, email, phone if given, model of interest and message. We use it only to reply to your request and, if you ask for it, to send you commercial information about the service or the partner program.
Legal basis: steps taken at the data subject’s request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). No consent is needed. Providing the data is optional, but without the mandatory fields we cannot reply to you. Retention: the request reaches Fidem’s offices by email and the site does not store it. If no contractual relationship follows, we keep it no longer than 12 months from the last contact. If a relationship starts, the notice for clients and suppliers set out above on this page applies. The forms are protected against spam with mechanisms built into the site, with no third-party services.
5. Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent)
With your consent to the “Analytics” category of the cookie banner, the site uses Google Analytics 4 by Google Ireland Limited to measure page use. Without consent the script is not loaded. Google acts as processor; data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, on the basis of the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR).
Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code). Retention: according to the Analytics property settings, at most 14 months. You can withdraw consent at any time from the “Consent Preferences” button at the bottom left of every page, without affecting processing already carried out (Art. 7(3)).
6. External links
The WhatsApp button and the links to social networks open third-party services only when you click them: the site does not embed their plugins nor send them data in advance. From that moment the privacy notices of those services apply.
7. Recipients
The data may be processed, each for its own part, by: authorized Fidem staff; the site’s hosting provider, with servers in Italy; Google Ireland Limited, only for Analytics and only with your consent. Providers act as processors under Art. 28 GDPR. Data is neither disseminated nor sold.
8. Your rights
You can at any time request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15-22 GDPR), by writing to the contacts in point 1. If you believe the processing breaches the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) (Art. 77 GDPR, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work.
9. Automated decision-making
The site does not take decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect the person (Art. 22 GDPR).
10. Visitors from the United Kingdom and the United States
United Kingdom: you have the same rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Analytics cookies are used only with your consent, as required by PECR. United States: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we use no advertising cookies; you can ask us at the contacts in point 1 which data we hold about you and have it deleted.
Cookies and tracking tools
This section is the extended notice required by the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of 10 June 2021 and by Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code. On your first visit a banner lets you accept all, reject all (rejecting has the same effect as closing the banner) or choose by category. No cookies other than technical ones are set before you choose. You can change your mind at any time from the “Consent Preferences” button at the bottom left of every page.

Third-party analytics cookies. Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after your consent to the “Analytics” category (see point 5 of the notice above). The site’s internal statistics work without cookies.
No profiling or advertising cookies are used on this site. You can also manage or delete cookies from your browser settings; blocking technical cookies may prevent some parts of the site from working.
